Hi all,

thanks for all the help so far. Another basic plan this time our Salmon Pink (mr fluffy).

Lasiodora parahybana (Salmon pink bird eater)

Habitat

Terrestrial so more length and width than height. A long fall could prove fatal.

For adults - 600mm x 450mm x 300mm
Juvies - 100mm x 100mm x 100mm
Slings - 500mm x 500mm x 500mm
2/3 sub

Water dish
Hide

Temps and humidity

23c - 26c and will wet two corners of substrate then let dry out and repeat.

Feeding

Adults 5-8 large crickets every week to ten days depending on abdomen
Juvies 3-4 medium crickets a week
Slings a cut up cricket’s worth twice a week

Scale the enclosure with the size of the animal, 3-4x the DLS in with and length, 1.5-2x the DLS in free climbing height

Hi
Your enclosure size for adult is a bit large. With slings and juveniles you can go larger to save yourself few rehousings as they are voracious eaters and grow pretty fast
I have large LP adult and is more than happy in enclosure 45x45x30Hcm.
What @octanejunkie said above is a good rule of thumb to house a tarantula .
Also I feed my adult every 2 weeks 3 large crickets or 2 morio worms.Weekly feeding adults or feeding too many pray items on is asking for long fasts. You can spoil them a little when they harden after a moult tho
Also I keep my adult mainly dry with large water dish. Very rarely I pour water to moist substrate.
Regards Konstantin
