Jumping Spider ID?

Hello! Identifying for a friend - unfortunately this is the only photo I have to go off of currently. Found out west (possibly Texas but not positive). I'm leaning towards Pius - any ideas?

From my limited knowledge on jumping spiders and some research I don't see any other species it could be than a Pius considering its color and region.

Looks more like a purpuratus group species to me.

I believe these are mislabelled Phidippus nikites, I don’t believe they are actually from Texas..

Correct! Once I received them it was easier to tell, they are Nikites.
