I want to switch my T hide while it's hiding, big deal?

The hide it's using right now is pretty small and has had it covered with dirt for weeks now, I'm uncomfortable that it won't molt with enough room in its current hide and die. Am I okay to just switch the hide real fast or is a concern?

To be honest, I think that hide is perfectly fine for a 1.25"er if its DLS.

What are the dimensions of the enclosure?

I honestly think it's totally fine. If anything, it would be too big for my liking if the spider is 1.25" DLS. Are we talking 1.25" diagonal leg span? Or 1.25" body size?

Diagonal leg span, if you don't think it will have issues molting in that piece of cork I have in there then I will stop being worried about it.

I don’t think it would hurt to gently lift the hide to check on the T at this point.

Totally normal to me. Try to leave a pre-killed cricket near the entrance of the burrow.

Ok. Also, I can't stop stressing out about what I should or how much I should exactly wet the corner with this size of T because I see varying amounts of information. What would you do? Normally I just spray the corner a bit and that's it.

Should I maybe just overflow the dish once a week instead of misting and put it more in the corner? Thing is, my substrate is a bit hydrophobic because it's peat moss, and people always say they avoid wet substrate and I'm concerned about overflowing too much and having it streak across the enclosure and make it start hating the substrate.

Yes, I’d overflow the dish every week or so. Just monitor the sub, if it’s retaining moisture near the dish you don’t need to overflow.

I mean yea, you’ll be able to see it through the side of the enclosure. The substrate you have should be light while the wet area will be dark.
