My male red knee just had his maturity molt on July 10th and has now spent the last couple hours digging and webbing this corner. It worries me because I don't want him to die this soon :/ I fed him yesterday and he ate just like normal but why is he webbing like this? I blew on him very slightly to see what he would do and he just threw his arms up and kept going. Someone please tell me what this means :/

Your male is likely producing a sperm web in preparation for breeding. Mature males will create a web in the corner to deposit their sperm into. This is totally normal behavior and does not mean he's dying.

The poor guy, however, does want to mate. :)

Thank you all for your help :) when I went back to look at him he had it all rolled up like a burrito. So there's no web anymore. He just webbed to tear it up.
