Hi Everyone
I am new to the forums and new to keeping as well. I am 44 and in January I got my 1st 4 tarantulas from fear not.
Well I was in petco getting crickets And ended up picking up another T. I felt bad for it. Nobody there had any clue what it was hoping that somebody can help me
Looks like a B.boehemi but the Carapus looks lighter.
Any help would be appreciated

Looks like Brachypelma emilia and it's either in premolt or has flicked it's butt clean of hairs
I agree to disagree on this one. I do not think she is in premolt yet as the belly skin should have started to darken from the new set of hair growing beneath. I think it was a T stressed and moved around a lot at the pet store who ended up flicking all her urticating hair from being bothered.
It has some similarity with a B. Emilia but the lack of the black triangular patch on her eyes makes me question it.
My vote goes to a bohemi :)

I forgot the most important my friend, welcome to the hobby and this great forum/family.

Just an update guys. I woke up to a molt.
I have read it's good to keep the molt in the cage for a couple of days. From what i understand they drink the nutrients left behind. But this one has already put the molt next to the water dish

I grab them when it will stress the T the least, sometimes before they flip, sometimes after
