My female rose haired tarantula is what i believe to be stuck to the top of the enclosure. I tried to help her but she just wont come down. I tried freeing her 2 stuck legs and it worked, but she just put them right back on, I woke up to this and its now 12:26 in the afternoon. Please help! It does not look like her 2 legs are stuck to the wire mesh. It looks like they are holding on to the black rim of the roof.

If she put them back i would guess she wasnt in that much distress. Is her subsrate moist or dry? And also, id get that cactus outta there. Just something for her to hurt herself on.

She needs more substrate in there too in the event that she does fall.

Her tarsal claws are stuck on the black plastic rim before the lid!!! Put something under the T to catch her fall (or just use your hand) and gently unhook the tarsal claws from the rim. This happened to my G. rosea with those lame metal netting lids… you need to build an acrylic lid with ventilation holes that's flush on the rim

I agree. Acrylic is the way to go with that setup.

Whats better?

I think I see the problem. Maybe not all screens are bad? Mine has more opening space so theres no 'stuck'. I think Veronica once explored the top but never did it again due to her being so tiny.

Aesthetically pleasing is something you have to sacrifice sometimes when it comes to the safety of the tarantula.
Plastic containers work great for them.

Yep. I use all plastic enclosures. Drilled holes and snap lids. No problems. I keep them all in a cabinet, so aesthetics aren't important.

Anything with a screen on the top can snag the T's claws, making them hang there, stuck...so I stay away from them.

Picked these up from the container store yesterday.

$14 max. I drilled holes in each one.

I have more containers coming and also have some screen vents coming as well.

@JAYGEE Excellent! Your T's will do very well in those!:D

Edited to show my current T storage set up. There's 29 T's in there. I've got two more showing up Wed. So...it's time to reorganize. I need to take out the extra stuff like extra enclosures, cork bark, etc. that I store in there & make it strictly a housing cabinet. I'm running out of room! Problems you like to have in this case...lol :)

Also, I keep my A. chalcodes in the hubby's office on the desk.;)
