This is my Rose hair!! It’s name is kitty i’ve had her for about 6-7 months and im not sure how old she is! Her previous owner said she had her for a year but i’m not sure how true that is!! im honestly not quite sure if the gender either! previous owner said she was a female so i’m going with that until i can figure it out! if anyone can help identify the age and gender that’d be awesome!!

Age is something you can forget about. Because conditions can play a big part in how a tarantula grows, we don't use age we use DLS which stands for Diagonal Leg Span so ages are irrelevant. If the T crawls onto the side of the enclosure try and get a clear picture of between the top set of book lungs (the white parts on the underside of the abdomen) that's called ventral sexing, it's not 100% accurate but a good indication, only other way to sex them is with a moult and examine the part mentioned before but the internal side from the moult. Hopefully this helps and welcome to the forum great to have new members. Feel free to post a pic in the contest too here is the link.
