Just joined the forum after lurking for a few days. Seems very user friendly with positive feedback.

A little about me: I'm 39 and have been in the hobby for 2 years now. I currently have 8 Ts with 2 on order as I type this intro. My indifference to arachnids turned into sheer fascination the day I let a juvie A. Chalcodes walk across my hand at a reptile show. I've loved them ever since, particularly baboons, and am preparing to receive my second baboon this week. I have been the oddball in my family and friends, as no one shares my love for these creatures. Im glad to have found a place like this, and I'm glad to be here!

hey neither do mine I got my girlfriend one but she don't really want to mess with it so it comes back to me to care for it

Once in a while my man will take an interest when I'm feeding or doing maintenance but other than that he just tolerates my passion for tarantulas. He did, however, bury my Arizona Blonde when she died 2 months ago, which I thought was nice.

i have the same problem with family and friends, the only ones who enjoy the spiders are myself, my kids and my boyfriend... i'm really glad the kids do because they're the reason i got into it. i've actually had people here tell me that they're deadly creatures and i'm putting our lives in danger owning them..... but i love them. anyway welcome to the forum!!!

Hi welcome! None of my family like spiders. And my brother has stopped coming round because of my spiders!!
