Hello, I am new to the forum and new to tarantulas, inverts, and all types of insect large and small. I do have reptiles and amphibians. But I find all types of animals, both wild and domestic, interesting. I would like to learn more on tarantulas and scorpions. I want to get a tarantula in the near future, for I am still reading, researching and trying to get all types of info.

Well, I better continue with my adventure (long life adventure).

Thanks :T:

Welcome Illinois! You came to the right place to learn about T's and some helpful tips on other inverts.

Welcome! I'm Foxface's wife, so obviously I am also in Illinois.

We have a B. albopilosum juvenile, a B. vagans sling, and my new present (Best husband ever!), an A. hentzi adult.

Nice! Great looking species. Love the terrestrials. Foxface is a lucky man to have a wife who likes to share in the hobby. My wife "toleterates" it. But, after I built the display tanks, I think she is starting to slooowly get pulled in.

Haha, actually, I am the one who pulled him it. :p I'm an entomology graduate student. He was extremely arachnophobic. I got him over that. ;) It all started with a rose-hair that we use for outreach, then a friend's pink-toe was the final clincher. We went into the pet store today for crickets. We came out with the Texas Brown. LOL.

The brown is our third now. My friend warned me it was addicting. I knew we were in trouble when we went to get ONE and came home with two.
