Hi, you can call me Taphos or Tenebris.
I have been in the tarantula hobby for a year now, and it has quickly become my primary passion. It began when I was gifted an adult male Avicularia avicularia by a relative who knew that I adored/studied spiders, and I have been very passionate ever since (and before, I just didn't have any Ts). The male Avic, named Stimpy, is still going strong and survived a post-maturity molt. I also have a juvenile male Tliltocatl albopilosus.
I am very interested in Asian fossorials and plan on bringing home Chilobracys sp. in the near future. I love dwarf species, and I will likely have a Dolichothele diamantinensis in that future tarantula haul.
I enjoy studying animals in general, and I primarily focus on vertebrate, mammalian carnivores from the Eocene to present.
When not yapping about tarantulas like a madman, I enjoy video games, taxidermy/vulture culture, music, art and archery.
I am excited to be here, and I am always open to help with tarantula gender reveals... I know that the proper term is sexing, but it's more like a gender reveal to me.
