Actually I would believe it ..lol. My Heterapoda sp David Bowie is stupid, ridiculous fast! And if you raised your Cupiennis Salei from a sling you know the other half of the challenge! That speed and microscopic! The little bugger is in Tarantula Cribs sling enclosure went to put a little water in and after meticulously trying to locate him/her concluded that it was down at the bottom below some cork bark. One little squirt of water and there it was on top of the lid! I froze on the spot hoping it didn't bolt on away because I probably would not have been able to find it because after 3 confirmed molts, and I think more, it's still only couple mms, maybe, in body size! But it bolted back the way it came out after I finally got my paint brush ( the tiny one) and went to touch it! Those moments though are what's so endearing to me keeping spiders! Keeps me coming for more! Thought aboutYou wouldn't believe how fast these guys are, this photo is after a few rapid laps around the big container I do the rehouse in.

Think it must be its moult just before maturing as I read the males only get to 10 cm.My post got cut. But .. thought about getting a Tiger Wandering spider a few times and still might!
