Hello. My name is Chris! Nice to meet you all. I picked up my first tarantula today. A Brachypelma smithi to be precise. I grew up with severe Arachnophobia but after over a decade of watching various spider channels my fear gradually turned into fascination. It was really hopping spiders that helped me get over the fear more than anything. Don't get me wrong though. You'll never catch me around a Brazilian wandering spider by choice!
