Four escapees

Four 1/3'' slings have flown the coop; I used my TINIEST drill-bit to make their vent holes; but 4/5 of my slings have completely vanished from their houses. I emptied the substrate out of all 5 containers and only one sling was found. This is going to be controversial; probably... but I have relatively little hope in finding them, and by little I mean zero. The rooms I keep them in are very respectably large; it's heartbreaking to say this but I'm hoping they expire before they grow. They're old-world; and I don't want to take a bite when I put my boots on or something in 6 months.

Reasonably speaking, if one or all of them don't turn up; how long should I worry... reasonably, that they could be surviving and thriving in my hobby wing.

For the record; it's 1000000% preferable that I find them... ALIVE and rehouse them into something even more escape proof; and I might find one, but I have ZERO hope for finding all four.

I know these guys can squeeze through pretty tight spaces; that's why I used a 0.15 bit. I'm kind of sitting here astonished to say the least.

Sorry to hear about that.
Hope yo will manage to get some of them back.
Why not put few deli pots in strategic places leaned on the side with moist sub in and starter burrows .Moisture may draw them in to them.

Your tarantulas will more than likely be vacuumed up or find their way outside before you get to them. I feel bad for you. This has happened to me but not that many at one time. I hope you find your babies. :(

The chances are they won't have gone very far. Try using a hair dryer on a low cool setting to blow into corners and you may be lucky and spot movement. You can also blow into shoes to chase them out.

I've looked high and low; I've got the pill bottles and egg crates set up; here's hoping it has some success in attracting the little guys. I've already ordered 23 more Ts to console myself.
I was wrong.
THIS is what will REALLY HAPPEN.

This is one of the old school captains....
None other than James Tiberius Kirk of the Star Ship Enterprise. He lands on planet earth at a time when a young man who is eager to become the neighborhood's first science officer of entomology, specializing in aggressive old world arthropods. What happens when they ESCAPE?!!!

Good luck hope you find them
I think we can all identify with the lost pets.
Oh my, I don't even want to think about it.

Others mentioned great ideas and I have nothing to add to it, other than to write yourself a note to pick up a tiny drill bit.

When you mentioned this, it jarred my memory that I've been meaning to do a miniseries of old B spider movies. A couple of them are actually pretty good for their decade. I just posted the Kingdom of the Spiders in a separate thread. It might be funny and fun to identify what is being used since there's no muppets or cgi. LOL!

I will post the Shatner interview later this weekend which is very interesting.

Best to finding your little ones.

Sorry did I miss the type of T slings?
That might help narrow the search area, and suggestions (but I'm sure you know that already). For slings, I would always recommend pin holes in serving cups until they get bigger (for the future).
Live and learn.

Keep looking, I recently lost a C.Versicolor but knew to keep looking up. And in a couple hours, the sling was just climbing over a large jar on the top of my shelf. But yes, I was freaking out.

Best wishes, I'm sure you'll find a couple soon.
