Found a T near my house...

Walked outside and found a small black T on the ground. I instantly tried to remember if I had accidentally left a lid off since it was sooo close to my house but quickly realized it wasn't any of mine. I haven't snapped a pic yet but it's about 2" total length and jet black. Not brown anywhere.

Any ideas? Do the Texas Brown T's start off black?

Amazing spider, I saw a few trap door spiders when I was down in Costa Rica. Wish I lived somewhere with Ts, the biggest spiders we get around here are argiopes.

Supposedly there are areas of breeding huntsmans around here but I have yet to find any...though we do have some kick ass cave spiders. :)
