flicking hairs or normal behavior?

I was handling a g rosea that my school owns for its zoology class. And after about 3 minutes of chilling on the palm of my hand. It rubbed its abdomen similar to kicking hairs. But slowly and and not rapidly as I have seen others do when threatened. I put it back immediately but never got a reaction. I am assuming it was rubbing dirt and dust off its rump. Quite a bit fell on to my hand.

Flicking hairs is normal behavior lol. But I agree this just sounds like it's grooming itself.
