I’m a novice so please be kind. My T was eating great for a long time when I first got her. I know T’s will fast for long periods but my T acts as though she’s going to eat the prey when I put it in but then suddenly backs off of it as if she’s scared of it. I remove the food within the recommended 24 hours. Is this a “T thing” that I shouldn’t worry about? She seems healthy. But it’s just difficult to feed her and I just want some advice. She’s a sub adult and I stick to an appropriate feeding schedule so I don’t believe I’ve over fed her or anything.

On Tuesday when I fed my gang. I had a couple pounce on food like a really good feeding response & then immediately back off, leaving the cricket alive. I had one go on tiptoe, so the cricket could walk under her. Plus a multitude of other responses. What yours is doing sounds like what goes for a normal response for her.

If you can, try a slightly smaller cricket. Sometimes that works.
