A few months ago I bought a T from California (I live in Maine) and had it sent FedEx overnight. It got here a day later than it was supposed to arrive. I did not think of it at the time as I was just glad to get my T alive, but could I have gotten at least a partial refund?

And if so how would I have done that? I paid the seller, but it was the seller who paid FedEx.
I am asking this as I am thinking about another purchase from out that way.

Shippers like FedEx don’t refund for weather delays, acts of god type stuff. Even then, your issue would be with the seller and depend on exactly what type of agreement you had with them. Also, if it didn’t bother you then, why bring it up now? Always communicate displeasure ASAP. If you want a discount from a seller, just ask. The worst that worst that can happen is they say no.

Well, according to the FedEx website:
"We offer a money-back guarantee for every U.S. shipment. You may request a refund or credit of your shipping charges if we miss our published (or quoted, as in the case of FedEx SameDay®) delivery time by even 60 seconds. "

And I mentioned it now as I was curious and considering ordering from California, which I think would be one of the least likely states to get it across the country overnight.

FedEx is the literal worst for taking responsibility.

I've had packages go missing for days, both as shipper and receiver, and they will not own any of it. I had them lose a package and the driver lied and said they delivered it the next day, well I was working from home and nobody ever came to my house, but they believed the driver and not me. I disputed through the seller and they denied the claim saying the driver marked it delivered so it was delivered. They are f-ers.

I don't trust anything they claim and consider myself lucky when the package is delivered at the promised time.

Ask for a refund? Ha! Has never happened for me. At least not yet.

Last I checked venomous animals were prohibited by fed ex? Hard to get a refund for something that isn't allowed to be shipped. Did something change and make it legal now?

Always read the fine print.

also from FedEx website :
”This guarantee can be suspended or revoked at our sole discretion without prior notice to you.“

They offer a cornucopia of reasons, and conditions for potential refunds.
