Some slightly better pics. I got this T from my Ken. The ones I've ordered from Tom have not been shipped yet.

Even better picture of Laveau (what she has been named). By far the best one. Her temperment thus far is a bit different than my other Tap, but not sure if its size or species. She's more steadfast than skittish.

I just got a large order from Tom, and he was fantastic. I did a review for him on my blog and on YouTube. If you scroll down to the bottom of the blog post, I listed his current stock. Actually, I should probably put a review here as well...

Very nice haul! I am sooo jealous of your Nhandu tripepii! It's one that I've only recently looked into and would complete my wishlist for awhile.

Thanks so much! That might have been the best box of spiders I've ever received. I'd been eyeing the Nhandu tripepii for years, and I LOVE this female. Not only is she gorgeous, but she has such a wonderfully bratty attitude. :)

My order from Tom P has arrived all alive and well, and all feisty to boot.

Currently my unnamed C. olivaceum is mad at me and posturing through the walls of its enclosure.

The enclosure for the H. gabonensis sling was too small for me to keep the water dish and unpack it, so I put water out of the dish onto the soil and it currently chilling there, and matches its sub surprisingly well..its really hard to see. I tried to get a pic but it didn't come out the best, I will try later.

And while I was only expecting on K. brunnipes sling I ended up with 3 so 2 need names. Thankfully, all look different and as of unboxing them all had different personalities. One tried to get out (the shiniest of the 3), one immediately ran to a hide area (the only one with an noticble marking on its abdomen-Chama) and one kinda just couldn't care less (the darkest of the 3).

I do have pics, some are better than others, so those will show up soon, once I am back on my own computer.

Glad to hear they arrived safely and with an added bonus of 2 extra K. brunnipes. I shall look forward to photos.

Well, unfortunately, the brunnipes did as they did and burrowed shortly after arrival so I can only show you proof of existance for now...(at least until I have access to my laptop and can upload the one shot and blurry pics of the three)

Proof of the burrow of one of them. They are in a sandwich storage container with a lot of sub to burrow in (about 4in of it) with sphagnum moss as the bottom layer, and plenty of hide spots so that they each have their own space until they are a bit bigger.

C. olivaceum. It's a spaz. And unnamed.

Anksang, the Heterothele Gabonensis who is quite thirsty. (She's on her water puddle..well leaving it).

I'm really enjoying watching you succumb to the addiction that is this hobby. ;) Seriously, congratulations on your latest haul; what a cool bunch of Ts. So glad everyone arrived safe and sound!

@Psyrocke The gabonensis will web like mad and live in amongst it until it's older and then spend most of its time on top but it will dart for cover when disturbed. The brunnipes will burrow and stay out of sight, I've had my 2 for 15 months and other than viewing through the sides or bottom of their containers, I rarely see them although both have burrow openings on the surface now and occasionally appear there.

Haha, thanks. But I am getting you back by suggesting more Ts for you too. All started when you approved my idea of a B. cabocla for my first T. I'm actually about to start a feeder colony that shall be kept under my bed for now too since I can only buy crix in 6 and 12 counts and I have 2 pre-molt fasting (mostly) and fat butted Ts and then a bunch of teenies now haha and I dont want a colony of crickets for the noise.

@Enn49 There is so much sub in my guys' container I don't expect to see them for awhile, but I was just surprised they burrowed so easily. I figure I'll see them when either they are hungry or they begin to feel crowded, which I don't expect for another molt or two at least. They are in a like 4 cup container, with 4 inches of sub and damp sphagnum moss and 3 hide spots (a fake tree, a fake shrub and a starter burrow that has been used and filled in hah).

@Psyrocke It never ceases to amaze me how such tiny things can burrow so efficiently and quickly, they don't look as though they have the strength

Haha yeah! All of mine came energized, and my sub is soft. They are all probably only 1/4" of the way down with that much sub to work with haha. Oh, and thanks for not giving me a hard time about the communal set up...I totally like the vibe of this forum so much better :)

I belong to the others, this is the one I prefer,
and I get honestly offended when I see the occasional snarky reply to folks.
I like to think we are a step above with a friendly welcoming attitude :p

I only belong to one other, I think two, but one I go check in on frequently (though I noticed on that one the subforum for inverts is quite friendly). I have had nothing but pleasant experience in my short time here so I think its a success. Also:
photo 3.JPG

Falcon, the silvermost K. brunnipes was out this morning. Only one I could find, and that was by chance out of the corner of my eye. I'm guessing he's made that area of "brush" his home. One (light body, dark patch) had gone towards the "shrub" when put in and one (all dark) had gone to some "moss" so maybe I just moved the enclosure in a way that prompted him to check it out since I hadnt seen him about 15 minutes earlier. As of now, the communal seems to be doing ok as he doesn't look like he ate anybody since his abdomen doesn't look any bigger than when I got him, and there is cricket parts scattered throughout at the moment to give each some feasting area.
