Despite my attempts to keep my live food in relative luxury, one of my female roached decided to make a break for freedom today, off the unit, across the top of the washing machine and down the back of the fitted utility cupboards! So I know they're not ingidenous to the uk, but do I need to start ripping cupboards out or popping as many tegeraria as I can in the same direction, or is it not likely to result in an infesration?

PS I've also got an escapee cricket who has been serenading me every night in my office for the last month too!

My understanding is that red runners need more warmth than we have in the UK to breed. I have a couple of colonies of Dubia & Hisser's & find they do not breed much unless I keep them warm. So, unless you keep your home especially warm, then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I seem to remember the spider shop saying they were not a pest species.
