So, if today, they could give you a whiff of a miracle cure for the arachnid addiction,
Would you take it?
(don't even try to say your not addicted)

i would yes. just to stop the addiction of ordering more when i don't have room for them ;)

I don't consider this an addiction though. It's a hobby and i enjoy raising the slings and watching them grow. Addiction is like cigarettes, you can't control it unless you concentrate and fight the withdrawals.

I haven't ordered a sling in a few weeks, and i'm fine ;)

Nope. Only because they bring me so much joy. Even the house/garden spiders make me smile. Another reason is because I am always learning something new with each genus/species, that I can pass on to those who are afraid and those who believe the false stereotypes. With this knowledge, I've been able to curb a few arachnophobes from killing one, to transporting it outside, where it has a fair shot to live.

But in all honesty, I can't give up watching their weird little behaviors.

Personally I'd swat them for suggesting it :p
Been going through some issues and tests, had a talk with my family about what to do with my spiders
if things went wrong ^*^ Have to consider them as most of them are going to outlive me
Surprisingly, my daughter (the phobe) Insisted that she would study and learn enough to keep them :p

@Kymura That's very brave of your daughter and tell her from me that she will get over her fear of them in time. I'm lucky my son is also a T lover so he would take care of mine.

I did, shes a doll, my only girl and a sweetheart. She watched my little avic attach herself to the tongs going after her cricket, gulped a couple times and said, "well, they are going to all have to have custom boxes, with a tiny door to drop their food in."

I think its cute, I always remember to use my rubber coated tongs for her so she doesn't hurt her fangs :p Meagan, (my baby girl) she just sort of shivered,
she's come a long way though and actually likes my avics, I'm sure she'd keep them at least o_O
the others can get parceled out between you guys :p

My son would keep all of mine ;) he's got them all now in his room since they're doing the wall work in my room. Think I may have to sneak them out when he's gone lol.
