Coconut husk as substrate?

Hello!

I cleaned my T's enclosure and needed new substrate, but the only thing that was sold in my local pet store was Exoterra coco husk. I bought it and now I have it in the enclosure. Now later I started wondering if it's safe/good for my tarantula, since it has these quite large wood chips.

Should I leave it there or change it?

Thanks!

Not the best thing to walk around on. They can get sores on their abdomen from dragging around on it...especially if they are fed well. I would try to pick out all the really big stuff. You can always cap it with fine coco fiber if you can find some later.
