Hi all,

I took the plunge after a lot of research and a bit of debate and a talk with my partner and bought two Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens (GBB's) and i'm so excited, so is my son!

They are roughly 3cm long in the body. I am not sure what this translates to in leg span though which is what i'm more used too or what age they're likely to be, can anyone estimate and is there a good rule of thumb to take away and use in the future?

As a freebie we also have a Salmon Pink sling coming. I hadn't looked at these beasties but since it's our responsibility iv'e done a fair bit of research and feel quite confident, although I was hoping to avoid slings for a while. They look like great T's and now we cannot wait.

Hopefully luck is on our sides and we both get at least one female out of the two.

Congratulations! Great species.

Set up your GBB slings for success with taller type enclosures. GBB slings live in their webbing, predominantly, so make sure you give them lots of anchor point for webbing and that you can open the enclosures to feed and water right into their webbing.

Don't be surprised if they web over water dishes, it happens.

Do your research!

Regarding pre-sexed slings, it's possible with the right tools and experience. I've not had great success sexing 2" DLS slings and smaller, regardless of species.

Thanks bud.

I’m about to post my basic understanding for care if you’d like to check it over.

Awesomwe choice! My favorite T! I got mine 2 years ago, and she is just spectacular! Beautiful colors, heavy webber, and never disappoints when it comes to feeding! (unless in premolt, of course). Best of luck!!
