I've seen the video, its a Goliath birdeater. If I remember correctly its a male, the bad part is terrestrials like these stand a huge chance of falling and getting injured or die.

Yea i can see your point i wouldnt do that either. Theres nothing to say that it wouldnt just suddenly leap off and break itself. What i like about the video is the guys confident no fear attitude lol

He is a youtuber, they live for the subscribers watching. I saw at least four or more instances that tarantula could have hurt itself. My personal, and I emphasise it my personal view don't attempt something which you can't do 100℅ since 99 leaves 1℅ chance for failure.

My haitian bird eater can barely keep his balance in his tank, he falls all the time lol. ( only like 9" fall) I know if I tried this hed be dead for sure, dont think hed balance very well on me at all. Im much happier with a living tarantula, rather than risking its life to attempt to prove something.

Yea i mean the simple fact is you just dont know what they will do, you cant predict how a t is going to be wether its raised from a sling and knows you or not. They dont want to be out and held. If so a t that knew its owner would be knocking on the glass like hello get me out sos i can have a strech lol
