After months (MONTHS) of one of them hiding 24/7, they are now both out most days. If it hadn’t been for the occasional sign of molting, we would have guessed one of them died. And check it out: one of them turns out to be a male! We are ecstatic to finally see them both. Question though: the literature I’ve read on the subject suggests the female being bigger, but right now the male is the biggest one? And the female one is the one that has eaten well and regularly, the male one hasn’t shown much interest..

Maybe your female not mature yet ,male normal grow faster its like natures inbreeding control. But females do grow more thicker set then males just slower to mature. And has your male made a sperm web yet ? He would not be interested till then if she was mature.

Females growing slower would explain it! Thank you, I’ve been wondering about this.. Even more fascinated now. They are in separate terrariums, so I don’t think he’ll react to her?

Am glad helped a bit ,the males starts drumming and the females respond not allows in a good way . If she was mature you might see a reaction if the terrariums are close together .
