My golden knee is my is my first tarantula since I’ve had six months. I’ve changed his environment. One time I added, added Coco Coco, fiber you know that real chunky wood stuff and the first terrarium he would dig. He would use his shelter that I gave him now. He hangs out in the corners. He’s getting huge abdomen, but his body and legs are really thin And he’s not using his enclosure which is a nice piece of cork. I don’t think he likes the texture. I’m worried about him. I’ve fed him December 1 and I’ve tried to feed him two other times and he will not eat so I think he’s in pre molt. Bad he’s so much. He seems smaller than he was when I got him six months ago if you have any ideas, please let me know.

How big DLS wise is your spood?? The bigger the spood the longer pre molt, post molt. Sound like pre molt. Sometimes your spoods can take a minute after a rehouse. My Caribena Versicolor webbed her last enclosure all across the the top which is to be expected! Since her re house no webbing whatsoever but still she has an insane feeding response. Eventually I know she will web things up again but it's taking a minute. Could just be settling in to the new environment and pre molt.
