Chaco Golden Knee- help?

Hello!
I've recently bought a mature male Chaco Golden Knee, around one month ago.
He hasn't eaten since I've bought him and he came with bald patches on his rump, he's also extremely skittish and it seems like he hasn't 'settled' at all.
I also think he's a lot smaller than I thought to be a mature male but he does have his spurs on his front legs.
I'm wondering if he's just fasting for another moult and that he isn't actually mature as the breeder described?
I'm quite worried that that I'm going to find him dead when I wake up.
Any thoughts or opinions would be extremely appreciated!
Thank you for reading

Hi! Did you purchase him as an MM? Do you know when his last molt was? Mature males have one purpose after their ultimate molt, and that's to breed. Many won't eat well after that final molt as they are on borrowed time. They will often exhibit restless behavior as they wander around their enclosures in search of a mate. Could this be what you are seeing?
