Can someone please name this tarantula?

When I was a young man, we used to see/catch wild tarantulas moving to the lake from the pastures outside my home in central Texas. The area is semi-dry, average January temps 44-50* F. The tarantulas were dark brown or black and docile.

Anyone know what these wild T's are?

I agree with Rbales427...Aphonopelma hentzi is likely the one you used to see.

+1 on the aphonopelma hentzi. they are a great species to keep i just recently parted with the 2 i had
