As I mention in my "new guy" thread, I've been looking for tarantulas to photograph for a few weeks. I couldn't find anyone who had any, but someone contacted me with a few for sale. She lived too far away and didn't have them in fancy set ups so just taking photos was out if the question. I ended up with 3 tarantula, the most fancy being the female Gooty.
I bought them Wednesday and today as I was going to check on them, I found this molt. She is MUCH bigger than she was when I brought her home. I can't wait for her to harden up so I can try and get a few nice shots of her with the shiny new colors!
First pic is the molt, second was her when I picked her up, and third was her hiding out today. I wish I'd knows she was molting, I would have tried to set up my camera to do a time lapse!
