Hello all,
What is your best arboreal display T in your opinion? Im looking for a nice arboreal species for my terrarium. What do you advise? Something big. I have an Heteroscoda Maculata and I only see her after dark. I also have a caribena versicolor still sling so its often hidden.
Thanks

best bet is probably a P. cambridgei or any Psalmopoeus for that matter, though they are prone to hiding most times as well. I just find P. cambridgei and even P. langenbucheri more likely to come out more often than others in the genus.

My rufilata is pretty light averse and pretty reclusive, spending most of her time in her tube. Spectacular spider but I definitely wouldn’t label it a “display” tarantula. Maybe if you’re looking between 2 and 6 AM but other than that, it’s a box of dirt with some decorations.

So.....learning from this for future Pokie owners: don't use a tube.

Cork tubes are the best thing to use for all arboreals. When you have to rehouse or do maintenance they are pretty much ready to go. Throw a wet rag on the top for maintenance and if your rehousing slide a something under the other end. They always stay inside...use tongs incase. I haven't had one bolt on me yet. Super simple...even for the nastiest asian species.

Sorry guys, I like to see my Ts. My Pokies have plenty of places to web and hide--but I don't like cork tubes.

One of the best parts about this hobby is learning the different things that work for different people. I suppose this makes the answer to the original question “whichever arboreal doesn’t have a cork tube” lol
