Anyone keeping heterothele gabonensis?

H. gabonensis (dwarf gabbon baboon) slings have come up at the retailer I buy from and a friend and I are getting one each as they are quite hard to find generally. We both love baboons and couldn't pass up a dwarf species that's arboreal or semi-arboreal depending on where you look for info. Does anyone have them? If so I'd love to see pics of enclosures and to ask dimensions you find they prefer and any other experiences of keeping them. :)

Very tiny as slings, very fast, and some say one of the most potent. I wouldn't consider them arboreal, semi arboreal...possibly, but I gave mine room to burrow, although they would web the surface and hang out on that. A dram vial is a mansion to them. When they get a bit bigger you can get some leaf litter and they will actually utilize it in their webbing.

Thank you very much, I have plenty of leaf litter as I keep other inverts and my more mature T's have bioactive enclosures. We've ordered some suitable sling enclosures for when they grow out of the dram pots. I've seen that they are semi arboreal so thinking maybe a terrestrial set up with a little extra height for when they are closer to adult. My other dwarf T is purely terrestrial and happy in a 25 cm/10" wide by 20 cm/8" high enclosure as an adult so I'm thinking same width and maybe 30 cm/12" to 40 cm/16" high. Does that sound about right for a generously size adult home?

The information here in the UK tends to be they are at the lower end of venom for baboons, if that's not the case I need to risk assess as I make a point of not keeping highly venomous species to avoid potential danger to my other pets and my spouse of course in the unlikely event of an escapee. The spiciest ones I currently have are a c. darlingi and an orphaneous sp blue quezon. :)

That does sound adequate, as they are quite small even as adults.
