so i'm not a handler ( read plenty of horror stories on this forum ) but 3 days ago my 4.5inch chaco Golden knee fell approx 8-12 inches during a rehouse onto a hard wood floor. no noticeable injuries and was very active for the first few days (as expected) in his new home. today he ate a few crickets and am still yet to see any abnormal behavior. just asking for some opinions on if im in the clear or not and what i should look out for moving forward.

Oh that is the worst, I'm sorry that happened.

Tarantulas are sort of like water balloons with legs and when they fall their abdomens tend to rupture. If you don't see any hemolymph leaking anywhere and the abdomen isn't obviously injured you're probably ok, especially given it was 3 days ago and he is eating and behaving normally.

I would just let him rest for a while and leave him alone. Just make sure he has access to water and maybe don't feed him for another few weeks.

Now you know what you can do differently for the next rehouse and it will go much smoother.

You owe him one bud. Bigtime. Give him a fantastic meal and some tarantula porn. Show him what he has to look forward to, something like videos of two consenting adult G. pulchripes in the throws of mating. Or maybe a single female Chaco Golden Knee preening herself. Oh, oh, oh, if it exists, two adult female G. pulchripes preening EACH OTHER.
