I would love to see the color transformation of your favorite T's from little guys and gals to adults.

I am curious at what size they starting getting adult colors and there really aren't any good progression pics online that I can find.

Maybe someone here knows a good resource?

forums are probably your best source. Google search is a shot in the dark if you even get the correct picture for the species.

my B. boehmei was the typical dull ugly sling brown until his last molt. He's now roughly 3/4-1" and showing the color on his legs and his body has darkened finally. he was about 1/2" when we got him.
Here's the dull brown, not a very good pic.

And now his colors as he's running up the wall to get away from that evil roach.

GBB started as dark and light, dark body lighter legs when we got her (suspected female, not sure if it's really a "her" yet).

She didn't start showing his full colors until after her previous molt in August. Her abdomen was the bright orange but her legs were still pale. Closest picture to that I have after that molt is from Thanksgiving.

Her legs are now dark as you can see in the next pic from his latest molt a couple weeks ago.

Good post! This has been fun looking at the changes over time :) I can't wait to see other's pics on this.

I am going to get a GBB I feel certain. Very cool pics thanks for sharing. What size would you say she was when she started getting color?

She was 3/4" when we got her, 2 molts later i'd guess 1-1.5" is when the colors on the abdomen and thorax started showing. Legs just darkened to the blue this last molt and she's over 2 maybe closer to 3" now.

She's too skittish since the last molt to handle and won't climb on the wall of her enclosure so we can measure. We'll have to wait for the next molt to get a dls

Color progression varies a lot from species to species. Most of the species I've owned don't go through crazy color changes, though, and pretty much just go from drab looking to more colorful as they age.

Here's an OBT at several stages of growth.
