She's been like this for about 2 weeks now, I haven't seen any change in behaviour etc, nothing seems to be affecting her yet, yet again any advice would be massively appreciated

Nothing important appears blocked, so that's good news. I would get a little bit of glycerin and apply it with a cotton swab to the area, then let it sit for a bit to soften up. Then gently use another cotton swab (q-tip) to try to dislodge it. If it still won't come off, just leave it alone.

Hey guys, I've finally managed to get a pic of her behind and I'm rather scared after seeing what's going on back there, any advice at all would be massively appreciated!
Looks like it's the carapace and some top-part of the abdomen that's stuck, but it nice that the spinnerets are free. Have you eased it a bit with a moist cotton swab?

Hi guys, I havent been on here for a while, just to let you all know that I woke up one morning and the piece that was stuck on her abdomen was gone( guessing she groomed it off or something?) I think she has gone into her 2nd molt now as she was refusing food for a couple of days and has now retreated into her hide and blocked the front with substrate and webbing.

Thank you so much for all of the advice, I really do appreciate it!

Massexodus, I keep her on dry substrate but I overfill her drinking bowl then let it dry out. Ive noticed when the substrate is moist she starts climbing everywhere. I do mist the tank if the humidity is too low though. I have a small heat mat taped to the side of the enclosure which keeps the temperature between 73-80 degrees day and night.

I'm looking for a new enclosure for her too as the one I have is too high and I don't want her falling and hurting herself, any recommendations?

I need to be able to use a heat mat though as I live in the Isle of Man and its cold here all the time!!

Any help will be once again massively appreciated!

Thanks guys.

Mine is opposite, mine will stay near the water dish if the substrate dries out too much. I overflow the dish then let it dry out also. She's my timer to overflow the dish again when she starts crowding it ;)

But a couple of those sub bricks or a bag of sub and build it up higher. Won't hurt anything and will lower the height effectively :)

Just goes to show each T is completely different and has their own preferences and behaviour!

Cant wait for her to complete her next molt, praying for a cleaner molt this time!

Hey everyone, in a couple of moults time Matilda will be too big for her current enclosure so I will be getting a new one to house her growing needs!

This on the other side will leave me with a vacant enclosure..... Just wandering if anyone could recommend another species I could look at getting? As I'm thinking about getting another T. I would like to know in advance just so I can do the proper research etc. before buying.

Any recommendations?

Thanks as always.
