Got the crickets put up properly too..
Hell yeah, what do I do just glue it ?Just curious, to make the setup look cleaner without the suction handle, would you be down to look into these?
Definitely, thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely invest. No, they have an adhesive you stick on.
You just open the container and dump some into the substrate. I wouldn't put all of them in right away.Springtails come in today...View attachment 76097
Is there anything I need specific for them ?
Like a dead cricket to eat on ?
How do I remove them from the cup ?
Better than it was for sure, however, still too much for my liking. If it doesn't clear up, you know what to do.
Probably just turn the cool down on the AC at night.Yeah but I can't drill anymore holes
Well I've noticed throughout the day whenever the house is a lot warmer, that condensation doesn't show up.You definitely could drill more, I see two available lines. If it doesn't clear up from that, it may be time to increase the hole size. I'd never stick a T in there under those conditions.
Trial and error, you can't give up now being so close to the finish line.
Gotcha, fit anything bigger into my Dremel I'll have to find a drill and a bigger drill bit. When condensation shows up like that, it is likely at 100% humidity which is very high even for this moisture dependent species. Here are some other users opinions about condensation on walls in T. stirmi enclosures.
"The big killer of T.stirmi from what I have been told is a lack of ventilation.. If there is condensation on the side you need to increase the air flow a little.." -14pokies from AB
"Having condensation on the sides is a sure indicator that - 1)the holes are not enough =lack of sufficient ventilation." -TarantulaArvind from AB
Yeah there is...Tons right?
Just dump some in until you see a good amount in the substrate. I don't even think you will even want half, they will reproduce in the enclosure if the conditions are right.
The ones you want to store stay in the container. There should have been a care sheet in the box with instructions.
