Looks like I have three T's in pre-molt at once. My LP is darkening up and is off food, my GBB is off food, and my Avic avic has sealed off her web tubes and is dark and shiny. Now it's time for the waiting game.:)

Very cool! I cant wait for my Pulchripes' first molt in my possession. Other than a lack of appetite and darker colors, are there any other tell-tale signs?

Could this GBB be pre-molt? On 5 1/2" crickets a week & hasn't slowed on that, but it clogged up both entrances of its web with coir. All I see are 2 or 3 feet sticking out the top. I was holding off on food until I saw more of it out than toes.

I find it hard to tell if my GBB is in pre-molt by looks. To me the color does change as much. The best was is if ignores food.

My B. Vagans sling went without food for 43 days and then started eating again. It hasn't molted in almost 4 months. So I guess it depends from T to T. But I'm pretty sure it will molt as soon as it starts to warm up here, which isn't too far off. I get really excited when those abdomens go black and shiny though... Imminent Molt! :D

Yeah, its coloring isn't too different but I'm worried to offer it food. The driftwood it lives in has too many nooks a cricket can hide in. Kiwi is still a sling, less than two inches.
In my situation, what would you do. I would feed when I saw sitting just outside its door; now it's hidden, making me want to wait on food.

My 1/4" pulchripes sling went two weeks w/o eating, took a pre-killed cricket, then disappeared for 5 weeks. On the breeders suggestion, I dug it up. It had molted in that time though I assumed it had died.
