I caught a second brown recluse in the bathroom last night right before I went to bed. This one with it's legs completely opened up is the size of a silver dollar, no joke.

I still get a little creeped out from recluses as I still have some arachnophobia left. If I had a choice between this and a black widow to be bitten by I take the widow everytime.

My camera on my phone is not the best but here it is.

From your picture it looks like a Loxosceles male... I did breed both, Latrodectus and Loxosceles for many years. Never came close to a bite. Very interesting to watch the little ones grow. I would prefer a black widow bite as well. :p

Male interesting, I was guessing female because it's huge. The other one I have is smaller.

I really have no clue about genders with these. How do you tell? Can you even go on size with this species? I don't have a microscope yet.

The males have about the same leg span, but the abdomen is smaller. May be you can post a different picture?
