EDIT: She has offically passed, I feel so bad cause she was so sweet, even though spiders can't love I did feel like me and mittens had this unexplainable bond, I knew I would mess this up when I first got her, cause that's just what I do, I cut my baby's life short and thought I would get to...
Hi, she was moving but now it's hardly any movements... I already did put cornstarch on her just incase but it didn't really do anything and I would get a clearer picture but I'd have to use flash and I'm worried that might scare her :(
I dropped my tarantula, I feel so bad, I've been crying all day about it and already self harmed so please don't make me feel worse, I put her in ICU and put cornstarch on her but I don't think she looks good, I REALLY REALLY DON'T WANNA LOSE HER PLEASE HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Probably Chilean flame or c versicolor, although I've never had a new world I got an old world as my first (I know I what you're thinking I must hate myself lol)
She's kept in a enclosure like the one shown below since she's a smaller T (3 inches) I keep her with a five and a half inch cork bark hide and bottle cap filled with filtered water as a water bowl , and to raise humidity. She's been out of her hide for about a week now which she NEVER goes out...
She was in a stress curl for a while and refused food. I'm not sure if she's big enough to be in pre-molt, maybe she just is refusing food cause stress. Does she look overweight? I saw small bald spots on her but not anything too noticable
I generally stick to the rule that prey should
be a little smaller, or half smaller than your tarantulas abdomen, but what about feeding larger prey, then waiting a longer time to feed them than you usually do? Like say i fed my dwarf T thats 3”, and her abdomen’s about a little under a 1”, a...
I’m very worried and lean to be more on the safe side when it comes to stuff like this but trying to get her to eat, six roaches ending up burrowing under the substrate two are pretty close to her and on the surface of the substrate but It’s hard to get them out since they are stuck to the web...
Ok, thank you so much! I just wanted to check and see if it is mold cause I heard of cases where T's have started growing white/yellow mold on them, that's such a relief though, I'm glad she's ok, she's been very active lately so I assumed she probably was, but sometimes it's hard not to worry...
