My male Curly Hair, approximately 18 months old, molted last week and it looks like he has developed hooks on his front legs. Pics below, are these the hooks that indicate my boy has completed his last molt and is now mature?

UPDATE: HE MOLTED. GarFeild000 is correct!! He had himself hidden away so all we could see was the shed. He is out and about now and I am so happy he is okay!!!

I'm actually not certain if it is pine, I just made an assumption from the look of it. I bought this cover at petco and they do not state what kind of wood it is. I will replace it with a plastic cover just in case

We are not sure, the person who gifted him to my friend told her he was a male. We don't know how sure she was, or where she got him though.
