    My T. has a friend

So I was looking in my L. parahybana's tank today, and noticed there is a small house spider who has taken up residence in one of his plants, webbed it up and everything. He is way to small for the LP to eat him, or for him to eat any of the LP's food, so i figured i would just leave him be...

    Cricket in with molting T.

So last night I put a cricket in with my G. pulchra who was showing no signs of being in premolt, obviously telling by color isnt easy with a black tarantula, and he has always eaten up until hours before he molts. I came home this morning to see that he is at the bottom of his burrow almost...

    This hobby is dangerous...

I honestly dont know why im surprised. The same thing happened to me with fish, I have 2 ponds, a few aquariums, and probably 200 fish in total. Why i thought tarantulas would be any different, I will never know. At least this is a much cheaper hobby then fish.

    This hobby is dangerous...

So, per recommendation of the good people on this forum I decided i was going to get myself an A. genic as my next T. I found myself on swift invert webpage looking for one, and what do you know, FREE A. genic with any purchase over 100$... so I now have an A. genic, a L. violaceopes, and a P...

    Picking next tarantula

I have the patience of a 3 year old with ADHD, so i guess that rules that out, how about the B. vagans, do they grow moderately fast?

    Picking next tarantula

I have heard, they have pretty nasty temperaments, ill have to look at those too. this hobby is dangerous, im going to run out of room for tarantulas. Atleast its still not as expensive as fishing.

    Picking next tarantula

I was thinking of getting an OBT, and a P.regalis as my first 2 old worlds and getting an H. mac after im comfortable with both of those. I am hoping after a year or so of taking care of my new P. cambridgei i will be prepared enough to handle both those, obviously theres not as much risk with...

    Picking next tarantula

Thanks for all the replies. I have decided im going to scoop up a A. genic asap, and keep an interest in getting a B. vagans or E. Sp. Red next. After those 2 I will probably move on to some old worlds. My dream tarantula is by far an H. maculata but i want to have a lot more experience before i...

    Picking next tarantula

I completely forgot about A. geniculata, i will have to heavily consider picking that as my winner (see my issue). I want a gbb but im not a huge fan of those webs they weave, they are impressive webs but i prefer to see the tarantula.

    Picking next tarantula

I want to add a new tarantula to my collection, but i cant seem to decide on what i want. I currently have a L. parahybana, G. pulchra, A. versicolor, P. cambridgei, and a B. bohmei. I want something thats easy to get and somewhat cheap (<50$ for a sling). I am the type of person who overthinks...

    Vinegaroon care

thanks, he has eaten a small cricket so far, sadly i didnt get to see it. I put a piece of bark in there at an angle and he seem to enjoy hugging the underside of it. interesting little fellow for sure.

    Vinegaroon care

I live in south Florida, this morning i found my cat playing with a giant whip scorpion about 2.5in body length. Its a bit shell shocked but i think he will be fine, that being said i kinda wanna keep him. I know most of you are probably against keeping wild caught, but i figure since most...

Recieved my 4inch male trinidad chevron today, handsome guy. gave me a good threat display on the way in, i think he stayed like that for a good 15 minutes.

    New A. Versicolor.

As you can see, the ungrateful little bastard is completely ignoring the nice cork I got him and built is Web on the glass corners. I received a Brazilian black also, but he immediately burrowed and I can only get a picture of his legs. This hobby is dangerous, I can only imagine how many T's...
