Example of 'stable sandy substrate' (30 oz delicup)

You get 40 lbs of play sand for a mere $5. I get my clay myself from nature. mix by hand (DO NOT SHAKE) thoroughly, then water carefully. dont overdo the water. wait for it to soak into the sand and the clay with transform into a glue that holds the sand together. a little clay goes far.
The reason i post this, is because I'm tired of people claiming sand is 'ToO aBrAsIvE oN tHe BoOk LuNgS'..
Well.. go look at some aphonopelma habitats and tell me what the substrate is.
SAND AND CLAY. Ive been housing these guys on this stuff for years and they're always healthier and happier than when I use coco.

Which leads me to: "JuSt BeCaUsE It'S ThEiR HaBiTaT DoEsNt MeAn ItS oPtImAl"

Except it is- I never see them on anything other than a sand/clay substrate, the only exception would be hentzi itself, which is a great plains species, where soil is alot richer, like potting soil.
