I was givin a Gravid wolf spider from a teacher from a local school. The wolf spider was for a science class and they ordered from some website. Turns out the school doesn't want a bunch of baby spiders running around so she got me to take it. She eats crickets and overall a very hardy and active specimen . Haha. But any idea and the species?

No idea. Doesn't look like a U.S. species I've ever seen. I used to let one live under my bed because the bottom of my window sill was at ground level. The ones we get around here are usually about 2 inches with lighter brown and white stripes. I can't identify it. Have you tried taking it to the University?

My wolf spider had two egg sacks but she was never with a male, and they didn’t hatch. That’s how I knew it was a she.

I was thinking that as well, but wouldn't she be larger? Esp as a Gravid Mature Female? She almost resembles a mini Carolina
Size is never exact, with any spider. You hear about 10" dls Lp's, but you almost never see one. Most are 8 to 9 inches, maximum, but since a few giants have been recorded, they get blown out of proportion. Ive seen it with Phiddipus audax, my local jumping spider. Every few years I'll find a huge one, that dwarfs the others, but its rare. Spider gigantism? Who knows. Not dissimilar from people, though. Those spiders should be playing for the NBA! Lol. Admittedly, it is nice to find a giant of any species, and it always leads to me harassing the spider because I have a need to pick it up :D Ive seen a few local wolf spiders that were the same, too.

Yeah she was not as big as some I saw after catching her. She was about the size of quarter when her legs were all the way out. The ones I saw was size of a half dollar.
