Will Tarantula burrow to escape humidity?

I've been struggling to figure out what's wrong with my b. hamorii, she's been acting odd whether I use completely dry substrate or just a moist corner, and I am looking to figure out signs. Is attempting to dig looking for humidity, or could it also be to escape it?

I added a sizeable moist corner this time after switching out the substrate because I felt it was a moisture issue due to the size of the enclosure and ventilation, but maybe I'm wrong and it's actually been overdone.

She's 1.5" and the enclosure is 12", is just a water dish enough for this species? I feel like no matter what I try, I see a warning sign of each side of the coin. Can I try just water dish and nothing else in terms of moist corner?

You have a relatively small T. in a big enclosure. A water dish with minimal overflow should be no issues whatsoever. Bro, most of the things you describe here are normal things that Tarantula do. T's are very hardy and adaptable. B. Hamorii don't need excess humidity to thrive. Keep your water dish full and things should be great! Matter of fact both species you have spoken about (G. Pulchra) do well on dry sub with a little bit of overflow. If the T likes its damp sub it will stay near the damp sub. If it shows no preference then don't worry about overflow. You observe your T's, obviously, and they will let you know what and if they like damp or dry sub.
