I know many of us have huge collections, and could post for days, but out of mine Saphire was my pride n joy, my show piece. We lost her a couple days ago. She was miserable, she hated everyone, didn't liked to be looked at, but she was ours. If you have lost one, post up pic so we can all remember them!

Moto passed away a few days ago due to old age. He was sweet until his final molt, then he became Satan incarnate. He lived for 21 months after he matured. Sorry for your loss, by the way. It's always hard losing these little guys. Amazing how attached to them we get.

Sorry for your loss, personally I hate loosing any of mine, partly because I feel sorry for them & partly because I always wonder if I let them down & failed in their care in some way. But it is never easy loosing a little one.

This is Noodles. My first ever T at the age of 8 years old. My neighbor was moving and secretly gave me her. I smuggled her into my room and hid her in my closet. I would collect bugs and throw them in everyday until my mom discovered her a year later. She was mortified but let me keep her. I had her up until my 18th birthday. My husbandry grew with her and she lived a good life. I only had her for ten years but my neighbor said she was close to 11 when I was given her.
she was EVERYTHING to me. The one who started it all. RIP baby.
(Excuse the pictures considering I was dumb kid and didnt know better. The one on my face I was 14, *shudders* I know better now!)

Lol, its just a face, mabè she wants to be a professional piercer!!! My mom came to visit a month ago when my son got out of the hospital for a murder hornet sting. Were sitting there talking and my son comes running in "dad, I caught you another black widow" he had it on the back of hand so a took it from him and put it in a small container. Hahahaha the look on my mom's face!!!! Then the follow up "what the f@#* is wrong with you" lol

It's not so much my face as it is having a big bootied terrestrial spider 5+ feet from the hard bathroom floor, vertically, on my face to take a "cool" photo.

Could have killed my poor baby.
We don't know until we learn. Luckily you didn't have to learn the hard way :)
I remember seeing an episode of 'Next top model' where they had a shoot with tarantulas.
Nervous models and delicate T's was not a good combo, there was an off the cuff remark that they'd "only had one fatality".
You think the T handler would have known better.

Needless to say, That shoot encouraged young me to do this. So you're exactly right.
And I wanted to make it clear I no longer agree with that picture or condone such.
