Trichorhina Tomentosa Dwarf White Isopods

What are your thoughts on these little guys?
I've done some reading but wanted to get a feel for your experiences keeping and introducing Dwarf White Isopods into an old world tarantula enclosure. Thanks!

I have used them in a few enclosures. They have zero issues but will out compete springtails for food. So at some point, you will see less and less of your springtails. Just my experience....

Be prepared to throw a baby carrot in now and again. Mine are voracious and started eating some plants

Thank you! Out of curiosity- do your spiders react at all to the veggies offered?

I have to agree on the potential negative affects they have in plants. I include moss and leaf litter along with a veggie periodically. Never had any issues with the other residence. Just don't leave it in there to rot

Nope

I use the in my tortoise enclosure and the amount of waste is so much higher I can support massive colonies in different sections of each enclosure- food dish, planted pots, and water dish.
