today I received some very nice US Aphonopelmas.

Aphonopelma vorhiesi (he/she is angry right now. Still threat posing with its fangs on full display)

Aphonopelma hentzi (already have one, but got another female. Was going to get a male, but was notified that the male decided that he wanted to take a relatively early trip to MM heaven, which led me to getting the next species)

Aphonopelma gabeli (already becoming a quick favorite. I thought both of my B. emilia were skittish, but this one is crazy.)

And a very juicy freebie: Aphonopelma moderatum sling (I love this species)

I'll post pictures after they have settled in and have eaten at least once.

Fun fact about the vorhiesi. It apparently likes to show fossorial tendencies. I woke up this morning to find it had burrowed all the way to the bottom of the deli cup.
We have an Aphonopelma sp. montane that decided it wants to be a mole and had been burrowed away for over 6 months. Had to rehouse due to mold but within a day it’s back to the bottom :)

Finally the pictures:

Aphonopelma moderatum, the day I unpacked everything. As of now, it has eaten a dubia roach.
