Hey all, summer is ending and I haven't had to put much thought into heating my enclosures, as room temp has been just fine for my avic. metallica, millipedes, vinegaroon, and madagascar hissing roaches. Colder weather is right around the corner and I am anticipating that my home will be a lot colder this winter than it has been in the past, so room temp might not cut it. Any suggestions for maintaining & regulating ambient heat for multiple enclosures? All of these species thrive at between 70-80 degrees fahrenheit.
I saw a thread in arachnoboards that suggested this heater https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MX8VN5/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20
with this thermostat to regulate the heat https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I15S6OM/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20
I would be monitoring the temperature in each enclosure individually.
Does that seem adequate? Or is there a better solution? I'd love to hear your thoughts, or see some creative examples that other keepers have used to keep their inverts warm.
