First time poster. But ive had tarantulas before.

We have a lot of tarantula Hawks here. Ive been killing them for about the last decade.

I was on a service call today. Customers and kids where getting ready to kill a Tarantula they found yesterday being pulled by a tarantula hawk. Wasp couldnt get it up the curb so they ended up moving the Tarantula.

Its completely paralyzed. aside from a slight leg movement here and there he is completely helpless.

I took him and brought him home. Put him in a cage with the hopes he will come out of this in 3 months.

Does anybody have any experience with this? Can anybody confirm 3 months?

I see no place where a larvea would have been layed and I think it wouldnt happen until drug down into a hole. But im not an expert....Thanks for reading

Hi Jacob,
You can do no better than to read the thread https://tarantulaforum.com/threads/baby-tarantula-stung-by-a-tarantula-wasp.22207/. @Alycia has been doing a great job with the little one she rescued

It took a month before mine came out of it I noticed his feet was starting to stick on my syringe that I gave it water with and a couple of days after that it started to move a bit.

In many cases, they can be saved but you may not be able to return it to the wild. Still, just like rescuing any other animal, rehabbing a sick or injured tarantula is deeply satisfying if you succeed. Stay positive. The venom will wear off after the larva would've matured had it been successfully deposited. From what I've read, the main thing is keeping them hydrated. Still, I'd defer to others who have successfully rescued them. You might now have a life long friend.
