Substrate question

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if around 1 1/2" of coco fiber is enough substrate for my Grammostola Rosea, her tank is 15" tall and she does like to climb. I've heard that if your tarantula likes to climb, you should add more substrate as cushioning in case they fall. Is the amount of substrate I have in there sufficient or should I add more?

That's a very high tank... I think you'd need at least 8" of substrate at least... If she fell she could seriously hurt herself with the current level of substrate you have - plus grammostola love to dig so it will also give her what she needs In that respect too :)
