Looking around the vendor sites for my next order to finish off my most wanted list. I hate trying to sort it on what i want more lol i want the whole list!

Here's what I've decided on getting for sure. And where i can't order for the next month or 6 weeks hopefully these will have molted and grown some :) I'm going to have to order from 2 locations and pay shipping twice :( but there's no way to avoid that.

From Inland Sea Exotics
A. chalcodes - 1/4"
G. pulchra - 1"

From net-bug.net
B. smithi - 1/2"
H. triseriatus - 3/4"
G. pulchripes

I was going to post here looking for advice on which to get but after writing this post i finally made up my mind :) The G. pulchripes won out over the A. seemanni. After going back and forth for the last week or so i like the coloration on the pulchripes, it seems to eat better and be more visible.

From what i've read the seemanni eats like the rosea, not often and is too lazy to get it's own food, usually the food has to walk in front of it to be eaten. The pulchripes eats well, and is more likely to be out in the open where you can observe it. I've got 5 or 6 containers full of substrate and spider hidden in there somewhere already lol. I want one i can watch :)

So for those that own these already, is that accurate? The pulchripes being the more visible and better eater?

I have never owned Seemani but my friend has one and she is always out and about. I do have pulchripes, but it is a sling. However even as a sling it is out quite a bit.

Nice choices!

I have a 3 inch juvie female pulchra. She's pretty much like my Lps, she could care less about hiding. She's a cutie. Get the pulchra :)
Even at her size, she gets that shiny jet black color after a molt and holds it for some time. Great spiders, good feeding response.

pulchra is one of the "for sure" orders :) it's the pulchripes vs seemanni i wasn't able to decide on until just then.

Perfect! So hopefully the pulchripes i get will be active and visible. The deciding factor between the 2 was the eating habits. I don't want another one that rarely eats like the rosea.

I love watching how each one attacks it prey :D The GBB is like lightning, the roach hits his web and he's on there in an instant. The boehmei waits for the roach to crawl into his den (now that he overcame his roach phobia) and then it looks like it's an all out brawl, he's such a drama queen. The vagans sits like a trap door spider (without a door) and waits for one to come by his hole and pounces. the genic just owns the whole damn place and wanders out when it senses prey is around. kind of like the old school scary movie villains slowly stalking the blonde girl as she forgets how to run. Only time he moves faster than a walk is when i open the lid and he's out in the open.

Anyway thanks for the input, i'm hoping to hear more from other owners :)

great, now my son refuses (like i knew he would) to get sling. He wants a juvie for the chalcodes from Ken, the ones i want from inland see and the lemon patch i've been wanting forever (at least it feels like i've been wanting it forever) from anastasia. I'll have to find a couple others on Ken and Anastasia's sites to make the shipping worth it. But i think i have my most wanted list done now! :)

Got three G. pulchripes, and as you can see in my thread, Dos Chac is always out and about even at almost 2inches. The freebie slings also stays out, usually on top their hides. Only goes in to molt, covers the entrance with substrate. Then stays out again after molting. ;)

Dos Chac had a burrowing phase though. But after that last rehouse, its burrowing days were over just like that. And, it got very docile. ;) ;)

If you're in the north east net bug is always at the Hamburg reptile show. The next one is February 23 I believe. I think they also hit some shows in NY state too. It was great being able to talk to Anastasia about the animals before I bought them. She knew all of them as individuals which really shows the care and attention she puts into her work. 6 of my 7 are from her, and I can't wait for the 23rd to add more!

Unfortunately i'm on the opposite side of the country :( I'd love to see one of Anastasia's exhibits. I'll be going to my first reptile show in May or June so i'll be saving some money for that to see what i can get :)
