My smaller stirmi is always out at night. For size reference, that is a 4" box.
Thank you. This has become my favorite species. Something about the way they are proportioned with those long skinny legs, the way they move, their aggression towards prey, and their never ending appetites.Nice pic @Tortoise Tom -these are fascinating to watch nice to see your little one![]()
There on my wish list!Thank you. This has become my favorite species. Something about the way they are proportioned with those long skinny legs, the way they move, their aggression towards prey, and their never ending appetites.
Ask and you shall receive! Ventral shots coming up! My big one is female, so it would be awesome if this one was a male.Ventral shots of stirmi are pretty easy to sex.
You nailed it. Exactly right! There on my wish list!they just look as if they stalk around there enclosures like prehistoric monsters with a no nonsense attitude demolishing every prey item in there path

They look a lot like the Phlogius species I keep, much the same proportions and general look about them, when I watch videos of members large ones I think that's the sort of spider I'll be looking at in a few years, I find it inspiring. You nailed it. Exactly right!![]()
Cool pic. The first time I heard how big they can get, I thought, "wow, I want one of those!" My hope is that my LP gets big; she eats a lot and only turns down food when she's about to molt..obviously. LOL In the future, I may add a Stirmi to the collection. My smaller stirmi is always out at night. For size reference, that is a 4" box.
